pleasing everybody

Stop Pleasing Everybody it’s Impossible!

pleasing everybodyIf you have read the story called pleasing everybody about a man who sets out with his son to sell their donkey then you know it’s a perfect example of why you should not try to please everyone. if you have never heard the story here is the gist of it;first the father sets out with his son to sell the donkey and he leads the donkey along, then after being criticised by a passer-by that the son is young and strong and that he should be the one leading the donkey, the father lets his son lead the donkey after awhile they get so much criticism that they end up carrying the donkey and they still get criticised. Know this you can never please everyone it is impossible because people come from so many different backgrounds and have so many different beliefs about how this should be or that should be, opinions are the cheapest commodity everybody can afford one, everyone has a view on how things should be based on their mindset and the state that they are in. If you try to please everyone you will be inevitably setting yourself up for failure, it is for this reason that companies have a certain target market or niche. Would you market toys to a forty-year-old demographic of course not you would Taylor your advertisement to appeal to a younger generation? Nobody is free from criticism it’s a fact, even the president of the United States gets criticised all the time and everyone in a leadership position. What you have to understand us that people are looking at things from a whole different perspective from you and your message or marketing may be prone to misinterpretation from these Individuals. I have often watched motivational and inspiring videos on YouTube that you would not expect to get disliked or have negative comments but as sure as the sun shines many times there are the few who just don’t like what you are bringing to the table. This like-dislike relationship can be seen in all aspects of life it doesn’t end here. There are people who will just dislike you or your message without knowing you or what you’re about. They act on insufficient information some don’t even Finish listening to what you are saying when you may have addressed their criticisms if they just listened a while longer. Take criticism with a grain of salt use it to build yourself because there are people who do give constructive criticism, in the end however it is best to focus on what you want to achieve and take action, drown out all the noise and negative criticism because in the end those people who criticized you will see the results in your life and will want to be like you because you end up changing their lives.
