Becoming a catalyst for positive change

positiveSometimes it’s hard to stay positive, have you ever wondered why we have a knack for emulating things that are negative? We look up to murderers and glorify thieves with our music yet we cry and wail when someone dies by the hand of the very people who we put on pedestals; talk about irony, society on a whole presents destructive behaviors as pleasing to us, look at our tv shows some of which have some bad person as the main character but who is humanized by portraying them in a good light; I mean circumstances make good people do bad things right? The main protagonist is made relate-able and shown to not be bad, but a good person who does some bad things hmm… Interesting so what does that tell us, that it’s ok to cut a few corners in life, it’s ok to do bad things if you have a good reason?

Time has always proven that some habits lead to a road of destruction, do not be seduced by the media, if you look at history you will see that habits such as lying to get what you want may lead to temporary success, but lasting success is built on truth:case in point politicians who have given their word and went back on their word, who have whispered sweet lies into the ears of the ignorant, painting a picture of bliss instead of giving it to the people straight. Begin today by becoming a catalyst for positive change in someone’s life, do and say things that uplift other people instead of tearing them down, when you become positive you will realize that people start to gravitate towards you, they want some of that positive energy. I mean who in their right mind would want to feel bad? Give positive thoughts and actions to the world and your life will turn out better, remember you get from life what you give as stated in the good book; whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap.

Take inventory of your habits and what you choose to emulate, where will this habit lead you? is it building you up for the future? are you inspiring others through what you do? do you feel content with where you are in your life? why are you not content? these are some of the questions to ask yourself, let me know what are your opinions in the comments below.
