Back Pain Remedies

back painYour back is the cornerstone of your body it’s the thing that gives our bodies structure,back pain is normal for almost everybody especially if you sit at a desk all day staring at a screen and crunching numbers(ain’t that the truth) . Start taking notice of your back pains and aches from early this will lead to you having a stronger back in your later years(why is it so hard to sit properly?) . So you may be asking the question why do we get back pain? We typically get back pain in the lower regions of our backs because it bears the majority of our torsos weight,this is why you should be very careful when lifting weights or heavy equipment as these put heavy strain on your back and wear out your discs (discs are those circular things in your spinal column that helps to hold your back together. Now you understand why you should Always lift with your legs because this transfers most of the weight to your legs resulting in less damage.

One of the major causes of back pain is poor posture which personally I’m really guilty of most times. You know when you’re in front of the computer and it just feels better to slide down in the chair?  I know exactly how tempting that can be I have to be constantly reminding myself to sit up and try to keep a good posture which is annoying when the chair you are sitting in isn’t really that ergonomic. Other causes of back pain are arthritis and poor exercise practices, learn how to lift properly your back depends on it. When dealing with back pain it is best to try a preventative measure like practicing good posture but if you are already suffering from back pain here are a few remedies:

massaging, this depends on the level of pain, you can get a good massage to relieve pain. I find that hot ice usually does wonders for my back aches. If you are dealing with something more serious like a herniated disc you may need to speak with your chiropractor. Practice good exercise techniques and don’t overexert yourself especially when performing back exercises. Be careful because some back injuries can be severe.
